With a voice like hot, liquid caramel, matched only by his deeply groovy R&B beats, this man has captured a jaw-dropping style with hints of Stevie Wonder, Brian McNight and even early Michael Jackson. Stanley James cherche la reconnaissance (Household Name / 2004)
Apr?avoir assur?es premi?s parties d'artistes tels que Montell Jordan et 702, Stanley James court apr?le succ? Ce natif de Chicago ?i chemin entre Mario Winans et R.Kelly a de quoi atteindre ses objectifs : une voix remarquable et un flow RnB efficace.
La sortie de son album en tant que produit ind?ndant au printemps 2004 ne passe pas inaper? et il parcourt ainsi les Etats-Unis et le Canada pour en assurer la promotion. Cet ancien choriste de Joe qui avait sorti un premier album en 2003, a nettement su d?lopper son talent au fil des repr?ntations et des heures pass? en studio.
Si le premier album reprend un certain nombre de classiques du RnB comme le tr?bon « Only the loot can make me happy » de R.Kelly, le second album ne contient que de nouvelles compositions pour notre plus grand bonheur.
Souvent compar? Brian Mc Knight pour ses nombreux slow et sa voix de lover, Stanley James s'ouvre ?lement au registre du RnB up-tempo et propose ainsi de tr?bons morceaux dancefloor comme « Taking it back » et de tr?respectables midtempo tel « Everythang ».
Un prochain album est d? pr? pour le printemps 2005, intitul? All of my Life ». On y retrouvera des remix des morceaux des deux albums ainsi que plusieurs in?ts dont une reprise RnB de « I Might Be U », c?bre th? du film Tootsie (1982). Un titre qui devrait r?nner dans les coulisses de quelques mariages pourvu que l'album soit rep? par une major et d?sse cette fois-ci les fronti?s am?caines...

I met Stanley in Philly and immediately knew he was a star. From the time he came over to me and asked me to listen to his demo I knew he was going to be doing BIG THINGS. He has natural talent and it comes from the heart and soul.He put's all he has into his lyrics.As soon as I got home and listened to the entire CD I had to call him and tell him how remarkable it was.He is truely amazing and I give him all my blessing's. That album is one of my favorite cds. Every track is good. A wonderful musical work. "I'm the one" is a very good slow. Stanley James makes good up and mid tempo too. I like very much "Everythang" and "taking it back".. so.. that album is a great surprise for the ears. 5*! sure!

This is one of the better artists i've heard in a while. Caught a couple of songs at one of his shows in NY, it was definitely hot, so I checked out his CD, and damn boy!! Stanley performed for our Boys & Girls Club in Clearwater, FL. He's even better in person. This is a must have CD. I listen to it all the time. This is one for all ages. The kids like it and so do my 30 and 40 something friends!
